These pay only approved bills, so they are not taken off the cost above.
What this estimate assumes
Rough planning numbers, not quotes. Only the cash gift is taken off the cost. The CDA grant, CDA matching (which needs your own deposit) and the MediSave Grant for Newborns pay only approved bills, so they are listed separately. Delivery bills are MOH's latest published median hospital bills (Singapore Citizens discharged in 2023). The delivery line takes off what the parents' MediSave Maternity Package can pay, as the delivery bill estimator does. Insurance is left out. Check your hospital's own estimate. Every other figure is a mid-2026 market estimate. Antenatal care and insurance are left out. Verify delivery costs with MOH hospital bills. Delivery figures checked .

Does MediSave cover the delivery bill?
MediSave pays part of it, within CPF’s MediSave Maternity Package limits. The delivery figure here is already after MediSave. MediShield Life does not cover maternity charges: MOH lists “Maternity charges (including Caesarean operations)” as excluded, except treatment for serious complications.
Why is the CDA not taken off the cost?
The CDA pays only approved bills, such as infant care fees and baby's medical bills. Matching also needs your own deposit first. The MediSave grant sits in baby's own MediSave for healthcare. Neither can pay gear, confinement or everyday costs.
Where do the other numbers come from?
They are mid-2026 market estimates for planning. Change the choices to match your plans and treat the total as a starting point, not a quote.
